RESERVATION POLICIES AND TERMS OF SERVICE

PRICING AND PAYMENTS

Full Payment:
To confirm and secure your reservation, 100% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking. This ensures the exclusive allocation of your private vehicle, certified guide, and all associated logistics.

Rates: Prices are subject to change until the reservation is fully paid. All quotes are final once the transaction is completed.

CANCELLATION & PROTECTION OF INVESTMENT

At Mayan Horizon, we commit 100% of our resources to your private experience. To balance this commitment with your flexibility, we offer the following terms:

Booking and Management Fee: A 25% non-refundable Booking & Management Fee is included in the total price of every tour. This fee covers administrative costs, payment processing, and the immediate securing of private resources and staff.

​Cancellation Schedule:

​30 Days or More Notice: Cancellations are eligible for a refund of the remaining 75% of the tour cost. The 25% Booking Fee remains as a Credit for Future Travel, valid for 365 days, and is fully transferable to friends or family.

15 to 29 Days Notice: The payment is non-refundable. However, at our discretion and subject to availability, 100% of your payment can be converted into a Transferable Travel Credit valid for one year.

​Less than 15 Days Notice: Any cancellation results in the total forfeiture of the payment. No refunds or credits are issued due to the inability to rebook private logistics on short notice.

​No Show: Failure to arrive at the pickup point after a 20-minute grace period is considered a "No Show." The client forfeits 100% of the payment.

CHANGES and RESCHEDULING:

15+ Days Notice: One (1) complimentary date change (subject to availability).

7 to 14 Days Notice: Rescheduling is subject to a 20% re-logistics fee.

Less than 7 Days Notice: Changes are not permitted and will be treated as a cancellation.

ELIGIBILITY & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

​Minors: Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Health: Participants must be in good physical and mental health. Any condition, diet, or treatment requiring special attention must be reported in writing upon booking.

NOT INCLUDED:

​Optional activities, medical expenses, travel insurance, personal expenses (laundry, cellular data/roaming charges, alcoholic beverages), and any items not specifically noted in the itinerary.

PHOTOGRAPHY and MEDIA:

We reserve the right to take photographs or videos during tours for promotional purposes. By booking, the participant agrees to allow their likeness to be used without compensation. To opt-out, please notify us in writing prior to departure.

LIABILITY and FORCE MAJEURE:

​Liability: Mayan Horizon and its partners shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to property or persons caused by third-party providers or acts beyond our control.

Force Majeure: We will not be liable for failure to perform due to Acts of God, war, fire, or extreme weather (e.g., hurricanes, official port or archaeological site closures). In such cases, a reschedule or future credit will be offered.

​DISPUTE RESOLUTION

​Any complaints must be reported to the guide during the tour for immediate resolution. Unresolved matters must be submitted in writing within 30 days of tour completion.

RESPONSIBILITY

BY BOOKING OR PARTICIPATING IN A TOUR PROVIDED BY MAYAN HORIZON, YOU CONFIRM YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF ALL POLICIES DETAILED IN THIS DOCUMENT.
